Mediating Effect of Perceived Organizational Support on the Relationship between Organizational Silence and Organizational Commitment

This study aims at examining the mediating effect of perceived organizational support on relationship between silence and commitment using quantitative research that employs a descriptive survey design. The population for consists 452 employees Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc, Nigeria-based company. Using Taro-Yemani’s formula, 212 were randomly selected participated in study. Path coefficients obtained from structural equation modeling used to test hypotheses. findings indicate there is negative insignificant commitment. Whereas association positive significant, significantly negative. Furthermore, affirm fully mediates It recommended management Plc establish measures reduce silence, thus increasing employee voice behavior, which will eventually improve enhance performance. Finally, factors employees’ perception should be enhanced, as this make feel important well part organization.
